Price alerts for ages 13 to 25 · UK shops
Tell us what you want. We’ll tell you when it fits your budget.
Alert watches prices at UK shops and sends you one calm notification when something on your list drops into your price range. Made by a small UK team that includes someone your age. No pressure, no hype.
Coming to iPhone and Android. Email us and we’ll tell you when it’s ready. We only use your address for that.
How it works
Three steps. You stay in charge of the budget.
-
Pick what you want
Search for something you’re saving for, like earbuds, a console or a smartwatch. We’re starting with tech from UK shops.
-
Set your price and your wiggle room
Say what you’d love to pay, then how far above that you’d still be happy. £75, give or take 10%, for example. Change it whenever you like. Pocket money goes up and down.
-
Get one calm alert
When the cheapest in-stock price at a shop we watch fits your budget, you get one notification. Not ten.
Try the wiggle room
This works out your limit the same way the app will.
That is your £75 target plus 10%.
Alerts that work for you
Plenty of deal apps push you to buy. Alert is built the other way round, for people who already know what they want and have a budget.
Your list stays private
Nobody else can see your watchlist. There’s no public deals feed and nothing to share.
One alert per drop
We tell you once. You hear again only if the price falls a further 10%, or goes back above your budget and drops again.
Honest about prices
We compare with prices we’ve actually watched, never the shop’s “was” price. An alert only says “lowest we’ve seen” once we’ve watched that product for a week.
Quiet at night
No notifications between 22:00 and 07:00 unless you change it. Overnight alerts wait for the morning, and we drop them if the price has gone up or the shop has sold out by then.
A budget that can come true
If your limit is lower than the price has ever been, we say so and show you the lowest we’ve seen. Then you decide.
No pressure
No countdowns, no “hurry”, no “only 2 left”. Just the shop, the price and how it compares with your budget.
Odd prices get a second look
If a price suddenly crashes, we check it twice before telling you. Shops fix mistakes and we don’t want you chasing one.
Small data
We only keep what the app needs to work: your sign-in, your list and your notification settings. We never sell your data.
What Alert looks like
Made-up products and prices, run through the same engine the app will use.
How Alert makes money
Alert is paid for by a low-cost subscription and by commission. When you tap a shop button marked Ad and buy something, the shop may pay us a small commission.
It doesn’t change the price you pay. It doesn’t change which price we show you either. We always show the cheapest in-stock price at the shops we watch.
Questions
How old do I have to be?
13 or over. If you’re under 18, the app is built to collect as little about you as possible.
Who can see my list?
Only you.
Which shops do you watch?
UK shops, starting with tech. We’ll publish the list of shops when the app launches, so you know exactly where the prices come from.
How quickly will I hear about a drop?
Shops publish updated prices a few times a day and we check every update. That means a very short flash sale can be missed. We’d rather say that now than promise something we can’t do.
Does it cost anything?
There will be a low-cost subscription. We’ll announce the price at launch.
Do you sell my data?
No. We keep only what the app needs to work, and we don’t sell it or use it to profile you for marketing.
When can I get it?
We’re building it now. Email stephen.lewis@capitaloffsetservices.com and we’ll let you know when it’s ready.
Who makes Alert?
A small UK team that includes someone your age. Our details are in the footer of every page.
